'DAY DELTA OF ORIENTATION'
Flag day. I was way early this time, 0730, not late as usual, and had meet up with my classmates in Pasir Ris MRT station. We set off to Ehub, which seemed to be deprived of life. We then proceeded to Macdonald and had breakfast, till 0930, while waiting for the human traffic to get heavier. We strolled to the deserted Pasir Ris Park next.
We changed our venue to Tampines. It was at the arrival spot of the interchange did we started receiving donations. Coins. We toiled endlessly for the next two hours, asking for donations from passengers that dropped off from every train that approached the interchange. My President's Challenge SP tee was soaked with my perspiration.
We stopped at 1130 for our lunch break, decided to not carry on after feeling the fatigue after lunch, and headed to Tampines1 mall, find a seat and rest till 1. Then on board the train back to SP. I collected $18+, however the minimum is at least $20, so took some from Andrew, to meet the target.
I had attended the Freshmen Orientation Party. It was impressive as they had two halls set up for this event, with one as the holding areas for food and drinks and the other for partying.
The food was quite nice. There were many different varieties of food, such as pizza, cakes, ice-creams and chicken wings, the most enjoyable portion of the camp.
As for the party, I did not really enjoy it. They had performances from the Poly's deejay, beat boxers, extreme sports club and hip-hop dancers. People around me were cheering, clapping and screaming. However, I do not understand the music from scratching and beat boxing, hence, it mostly noise pollution to me, haha.
Extreme sports club performances were quite nice. They had skated and rollerbladed through difficult courses, fell a few times, but never fails to get back up and try again.
Hip-hop dancing should have been the highlight. Sadly, its very difficult to see them performing as they performed in the middle of where the audiences were. Everything was blocked. Eventually, they went back up the stage and performed, but was jeered at due to repetitions, I think. Went home as the music still continued blasting at Concourse.
i will never let you fall...
...i'll stand up for you forever
