My 'day' (after work)
Had the intention to spend the day quietly until kes sms-ed me. Together with yunrun, leon, time, alvin and egin, we headed down to the bar by the waterway. We had a tower of beer, pizzas, fries and a cocktail. All my expenses were paid for, and i'm really really grateful to them. None of us wanted to head home, so we went to kes' house till 1+ am.

*For everyone who had given me their wishes, thank you all so much, i really appreciated it*

Internship (second week)
The week started unexpectedly. Woke up in the morning, dragging myself to work, thinking that nothing special will happen for the day, and i’ll be stuck in the office as i'm not assigned for any jobs, when i checked on the previous friday. Just an hour passed, and i was on my way to a client's place. This really made me feel much better, as i really hate sitting in the office, staring out at the 'scenic' view, doing castings (checking of arithmetical accuracy) .

My senior was really patience with me. I got there, feeling as though i had thrown all the teachings i got from SP back to them. Blank - the best word to describe what was running through my mind when he handled some part of the procedure to me. He showed me the ropes for about in that 2 days working with him so was really grateful to him.

Stayed in
I was scheduled to some clients for the next 2 days, however, i didn't go to their place as i thought i would be able to. I stayed in the office, making overseas calls to client to authenticate the confirmations they sent. Confirming the confirmation. Kinda redundant when i first thought of it, but realised the importance when my senior explained. Along with some castings, photocopying and filing, it wraps up the events for the next 2 days.

My 'day' (work)
Don't wanna get too much attention. The only thing i chat about with my fellow interns are their results and work-related stuffs. They still managed to know later when WeiSong told them. Kinda awdward when they wished me but nonetheless felt thankful for it. As for work, my senior for that assignment forgot about the meeting we supposed to had, so she was away at a client's place and instructions were then given through calls. Not really sure if i was doing the assignment correctly but i tried my best, so maybe will ask her on monday.

Then went out to client's place for assets sighting (checking for asset's existence). Told that i need not bring anything, except for the list of assets to check. Took a taxi there only to realise i need to bring my IC, which i had left it at my workplace. So took another taxi back, collect my IC, and took another there, again. Waste of time.

Meet the client and he brought me to a data center. The entry is kinda cool, looks like a body scanner. Tube container made of glass, curved doors on either side, each opened and closed seperately. The room resembles the setting in the movie: 'Firewall', really awesome experience.

Internship (first week)
The whole day started with formal attire and tie. Likes that feeling, gave me the impression that i'm a professional, haha. Fortunately, the surrounding in the morning is cooling, and quite so for the rest of the days, as i didn't sweat even when i'm in the bustling hawker centres, such as the Amoy Food Centre and Lao Pa Sat.

What work?
Collected the pass, laptop and stationery on the first day, and had a really short briefing before proceeding to do e-learning (training) on our own. The whole audit department was so packed that we, interns, had to work in the pantry. So we 'worked' for the whole day at the pantry. The only work that we had, for the whole week, was the e-learning. Boring is the only adjective to describe it.

For lunch this entire week, i had it with the rest of the interns, and realised that one of my assumptions is very wrong. I used to think that there are really very small cases of people reserving the seats with their personal items. Its actually quite prevalent in the food courts located in Shenton Way.

Tissue packs are given a new life, and their objectives now include reserving. They are ALL over the seats and tables during lunch hour, and i never once fail to see them. Besides the tissue packs 'chopping' the seats being a common scene, the long queues, that can really stretch as long as the flight of stairs needed to walk up to SB, is also a regular.

The second day gets better, we found tables in the office to work in. Sat in a seat with a 'scenic' view. Great Eastern, PWC and UOB buildings are all within sight... Its practically a concrete forest... Really started to imagine how good it will be if the office is facing the sea instead. So the day continued to pass with nothing exceptional happened while the whole group of interns started to die away while working on the e-learning. The time passed ever so slowly as we repeated the routine for the third and fourth day.

~No work
For the fifth day, i looked at the 'scenery', scanned the auditors that buried their heads in their work, and read the news around the world, the routine had been completed the day prior and i'm at a loss of what to do. But fortunately, i managed to share some work with my fellow interns, from NP, if not, i would really have had a hard time writing the tasks i did for the day in my logbook.

Talking about my fellow interns, i was expecting them but didn't know the turnout is so large. There are only 4 of us in Deloitte, with 1 in the Tax Department. NP had more than twice our size, with 5 of them in Audit Department, the good thing is, they're nice people to work and dine with. One of them was so lucky to be able to travel to Batam to carry out his audit assignments. If only i had the same chance, then i would have a holiday... DAMN!!

It's raining now, really wishes it to end soon and not start again, so i can finally play the soccer i stop for so long due to examinations. This round of examination is one that i had the least confidence in, so hoping for some divine intervention to take place during the lecturers' marking. Didn't post for quite awhile but many new experiences happened.

Been to USS with JianLong, Geraldine and Joycelyn, to celebrate Geraldine's b'day. It had been quite some time already but i still remember the indoor roller-coaster ride at the Egypt-theme section. Love the experience when we all went together, screamed and shouted while the ride is on-going... and before it even moves, hahaha, and also the amazing visual effects provided within the ride.

Went for the GDL Alumni gathering with JJ, Jes and meet up with Aaron. It gave me the feeling resemblance to a dinner gathering with friends you didn't managed to meet for quite awhile. Didn't get to talk to everyone i know, but glad to know that they are still in one-piece, hahaha. We played some games, and i won the lucky draw!! How lucky could i be? Haha, remind me about of how i sweep-in all the kind of prizes during DAC bonding day.

Not that my many equals to 2, but these are the ones that i can briefly remember. Yeah, my memory is bad, but it never fails to remind me how bad it actually is.

Today is my first day of holiday, but just 3 days later, its all gonna end... My internship is gonna start on the 5th of March. Its at Deloitte & Touche, one of the big 4 auditing firms, so i'm very excited about the thought of working there. Didn't know how it goes, but its gonna be really different compared to the jobs i previously held. Wished me luck, i'll need them all, hahaha.
